The "Victory Orchestra," a replacement ensemble, is actually composed of underground Choir members. As they sing hymns openly for the first time, their true identity as underground believers is revealed, creating moments of laughter, tears, and emotion.

A film miniature to classical music. An atmospheric film impression introducing the viewer to the aesthetic motifs of the Far East: a fan, a vase with Eastern ornaments, a Chinese teacup, fabric. A butterfly flies out of the opening fan and leads the viewer through details to panoramas of Chinese landscapes, only to return to the closing fan in the film's final sequence. The film image synchronized to the rhythm of Fritz Kreisler's music. The animated film, made in watercolor technique on paper, retains the character and delicacy of Chinese painting.

Howard, Ollie Olsen, The Birthday Party, the Primitive Calculators, The Ears as well as venues such as the Crystal Ballroom and others that fostered what became known as the Little Band scene.

While others reveal their true characters, only Ilze, the blacksmith’s sister, shows genuine concern and wonders how the unfortunate young man might be cured.
