Showing the attacking forces drawn up in line of battle. They immediately commence firing on the shore batteries. The batteries return the fire with telling effect, but are at last silenced by the overwhelming forces of the enemy. In the distance can be seen the ruins of a bridge destroyed by the invading forces. The smoke thickens as the firing becomes general, and the effect is superb.
In October 1934, after the failure of the Fifth Counter-Encirclement Campaign, the Central Red Army was forced to withdraw from the Central Soviet Area and begin a strategic retreat to escape the encirclement and pursuit of Nationalist forces. Along the way, under relentless ground assaults and aerial bombings, the Red Army fought bravely, breaking through enemy lines time and again. During one such breakout, in Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, Hunan, three female Red Army soldiers stayed overnight at the home of an elderly woman named Xu Jiexiu. Before leaving, they cut their only quilt in half and left one part for the old woman. Later, Xu said, “What is the Communist Party? The Communist Party is the people who would cut their only quilt in half and give one part to the people.”
Seong Ji-yeon, a female officer of the North Korean army, is discovered by southern forces on a snow covered mountain. She suffers from severe frostbite so she is taken to a military hospital. There she falls in love with a doctor, Captain Lee. However, when he is sent to the front, she is sent to try to survive the hardships of a POW camp.
Director John Barnwell's 1959 WWII drama stars Keith Andes as an American soldier in the Philippines who trains a village of headhunters to fight the Japanese. Also in the cast are Susan Cabot and Paraluman.

Binh is a South Vietnamese soldier whose wife Nga turns to a life of prostitution after Binh is classified as missing. When Binh does return, he finds it impossible to forgive the repentant Nga. It is a story about the Soviet worker Pyotr and the German engineer Hans, who came to the USSR before the war on a business trip. At a Soviet plant the German team works in cooperation with Russian specialists. Once Hans makes a mistake which causes the explosion of the furnace and human losses. Hans finds himself at the mercy of Pyotr, the only witness to his actions near the furnace. Pyotr also depends on Hans, because Pyotr’s very presence near the furnace entails accusation of subversive actions and a death sentence. Mutual suspicion gives way to silent sympathy and later friendship. They even look like each other, both have small children. Pyotr secretly leaves the town with his family but Hans feels loss rather that relief at the disappearance of the embarrassing witness.
In the fall of 1941, a man who called himself a doctor appeared in a prisoner of war camp near Kiev and convinced the Germans of the need to organize a hospital outside the camp.
The "Memory of the War Years" photo exhibition was held in Beijing. The old yellow-stained photos awakens the recollection of the memory of an old Russian soviet lady comrade, named, Sulla, whom when she was young once worked for the Soviet as an intelligence personnel who was held hostage by the Japanese near the end of the Second Sino Japanese war in 1945, when the Russian joined the Chinese to drive out the Japanese. This period was when the Chinese was on the counterattacking side against the Japanese, though the war had not yet subsided. Her old recollective memories recalls starts here when the Russian enlisted a specially trained Chinese squad that was trained in Russia, lead by Captain Luo Feng, to lead a team of six to advance into the crisis-ridden Japanese-occupied areas and rescue her (when she was young), an important Soviet intelligence comrade.

But the school principal refuses and Mahlke deserts from the army…
1944. A young French soldier is involved, without really wanting it, into American operations for Liberation.
With the armies of the Liberation at the gates of Paris, station manager Kurt Heyzmann receives an order from his superiors to withdraw. As a farewell, he decides to prepare one last prestigious program, to be filmed and broadcast live. Kleischter, a Gestapo lieutenant, emerges to try and spoil the show, by antagonizing Heyzmann and his employees. He believes that the war is not over, and continues to hunt down potential Jews and STO deserters on the TV premises.
