This period was when the Chinese was on the counterattacking side against the Japanese, though the war had not yet subsided. Her old recollective memories recalls starts here when the Russian enlisted a specially trained Chinese squad that was trained in Russia, lead by Captain Luo Feng, to lead a team of six to advance into the crisis-ridden Japanese-occupied areas and rescue her (when she was young), an important Soviet intelligence comrade.
