As they make their way to the oil field, Nitza and Manjack fall in love. He is killed in a skirmish with German troops and, as a dying wish, asks Nitza to continue with the group and help them with their mission. She does, the signal fires are set and Ploesti is destroyed.

April 9, 1940, an aircraft warns Norwegian merchant ships that German naval forces are heading for Norwegian waters. The pilot signals to a Norwegian-flagged ship that responds to shooting at the aircraft. The pilot is hurt but is able to land on the water. He is picked up by a Norwegian boat on his way to Kristiansand. Before he dies, he tells Captain Knut Viker and the governor Harald Bakken if this happened.

Silent Gunpowder (Serbo-Croatian: Gluvi barut) is a Yugoslavian war film Based on a novel by Branko Ćopić and set during World War II, the film tells the story of a Serbian village in the mountains of Bosnia and its villagers who found themselves divided along two opposing ideological lines, represented by the Chetniks and the Partisans. These two opposing sides are personified in the Partisan commander Španac and a former Royal Army officer Radekić. Španac sees Radekić as the cause of villagers' resistance to the new, Communist, ideology and so the main plot axis is the conflict between them. At the 1990 Pula Film Festival, the film won the Big Golden Arena for Best Film, as well as the awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Branislav Lečić), Best Film Score (Goran Bregović). The film was also shown at the 1991 Moscow International Film Festival, where both Branislav Lečić and Mustafa Nadarević won the Silver St. George Award for their performances.

Takes place in the early 2000s, during a period when the country's political situation is heavily influenced by the US military attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq. The plot revolves around New Year's Eve in a not-so-wealthy family living in Abadan. The father of the family is an addict and is desperate for drugs, which has disrupted the household atmosphere. However, the sudden occurrence of a catastrophic event changes everything, and the family realizes that in the short distance between life and death, they need each other more than ever.

During the Second World War, in 1943, two French prisoners, François and Michel, escape from Stalag B377 in northern Germany near the Baltic Sea. They meet another escaped compatriot, Pierre, who has donned the uniform of a German officer and joins them. Their goal: to reach neutral Sweden. To get there, they'll have to walk part of the way, then take a train to the coast and, from there, find a way to cross the sea to the shores of Sweden.
