Each programme is around 15 minutes long and deals mostly with Sami issues but also has Nordic and world-wide news, often dealing with other indigenous peoples. The news are broadcast in Northern Sami and are subtitled in either Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish depending on in which country it is shown.

By 2000, the show had started being significantly pared down. By the end of 2008, Weather Center only aired for one hour a day during the week and two hours on weekends. The 4pm hour of Weather Center was replaced by PM Edition.

Eyewitness to History

Eyewitness to History was a CBS Friday night public affairs program which was initially hosted by veteran broadcaster Charles Kuralt, followed by Walter Cronkite, and Charles Collingwood. It aired from September 30, 1960 through July 26, 1963, sponsored by Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. This show concentrated on the most significant news story or stories, reviewing the events. The show's title was shortened to Eyewitness in 1961. Coincidentally, many local CBS affiliates adopted the branding "Eyewitness News" for their local newscasts in the 1960s. One of the show's producers, Av Westin, went on to become executive producer of ABC Evening News and, later, 20/20.

ITV Weekend News

ITV News is the name given to weekend news bulletins on the British television network ITV, produced by ITN. The bulletins feature British national and international news stories, as well as a round-up of the weekend's sports news. Since 2013, ITV News utilises the ITV News London set for Saturday evening bulletins with the only difference being a smaller desk. This is to allow the same presenter to be used for both bulletins which are broadcast together.

The News with Brian Williams, first shown on July 15, 1996, was the former flagship signature news broadcast on both MSNBC and CNBC. The show's host was Brian Williams. The News was a broadcast designed mainly for primetime viewers who might have missed that night's NBC Nightly News. The News was originally shown at 9pm ET on MSNBC until July 6, 2001. It was moved to the 8pm time slot on July 9, 2001. During the United States presidential election, 2000, The News was the main program for MSNBC's coverage. John Seigenthaler often substituted for Williams during his absence, mainly because of Williams' duties as substitute on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.

Sunday Live

Series

Sunday Live was a Sunday morning regional current affairs programme, broadcast on Scottish TV in Central Scotland and Grampian TV in the North. Stephen Jardine, a former Scotland Today newsreader, fronted the programme, interviewing some of Scotland's best-known public figures and politicians. Louise White filled in for Stephen when he was away. A second series was planned for the Autumn of 2006, although the show never returned.
