Alive in Baghdad is a weekly news video blog, or vlog, based in Baghdad, Iraq, distributed via website and RSS. They employ Iraqi journalists to produce videos covering various topics on daily life in Iraq following the Second Gulf War, including a piece on citizens trying to protect their neighborhood from insurgent death squads, another on what it is like to be an Iraqi Police officer, and interviews with car bomb survivors. The footage is shot by Iraqis and edited in the United States. Alive in Baghdad was founded in 2005 by Brian Conley, a 26-year-old American journalist and filmmaker. After a year of preparation, Conley went to Baghdad to equip and train a small team of Iraqis to produce a new short film every week on the subject of daily life in Iraq. The website has survived on donations from foundations and individuals. Staff in Iraq receive a small salary. US staff are not paid.
Aksyon, whose weekday edition is also known as Aksyon Prime, is the flagship news program broadcast by TV5 in the Philippines. It is anchored by Cheryl Cosim and Erwin Tulfo, with special segments hosted by Shawn Yao and Lourd de Veyra on weekdays. The program is broadcast Weeknights at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm., and Saturdays at 5:00 pm. to 5:30 pm PST. The newscast is simulcasted on AksyonTV and on radio thru 92.3 News FM in Mega Manila.
Weather Center was a news/weather program produced by The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially, Weather Center was the lone news program for The Weather Channel. By 2000, the show had started being significantly pared down. By the end of 2008, Weather Center only aired for one hour a day during the week and two hours on weekends. The 4pm hour of Weather Center was replaced by PM Edition.
TV Patrol Negros is the local news program of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental in the Philippines. The newscast is a tabloid-style format. The program delivers news headlines about the current events in Negros Occidental in Hiligaynon language. It is aired live daily from ABS-CBN Bacolod Broadcast Center at 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday, with replays at 12:00 am to 12:30 am before sign-off. It is also shown abroad through The Filipino Channel.
Kabataan News Network is the only show in Philippine television that is written, shot and produced by teens. This weekly 30-minute program involves a fast growing network of young reporters all committed to making the voice of the youth heard. Presently, there are more than 160 KNN reporters, aged 14–19 and stationed in 12 bureaus nationwide namely Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, Mountain Province, Zamboanga del Sur, Camarines Norte, North Cotabato, Capiz, Sarangani, Dumaguete,San Jose, Mindoro and Baguio. KNN was created to empower the Filipino youth to pursue their passions and use their talents to draw attention to a diverse range of issues that affect them and what they feel strongly about. No topic is too small or too big for the KNN reporter. Celebrating your debut and public display of affection are just as important as child labor and HIV/AIDS. Thanks to their partners, United Nations Children's Fund and the Probe Media Foundation the KNN reporters honed their skills in television production. UNICEF provided the necessary tools like camera, tripod, microphone, and other tools while PMFI trained the reporters how to develop stories, write scripts and use the equipment. The KNN reporters do all the hard work with a little help from their adult bureau managers. They brainstorm and discuss topics for their reports and research about them. They shoot, do the interviews, and log the shots. They also transcribe interviews, prepare shotlists, and write the scripts themselves. The best part of the job is they're enjoying it! They know their peers would enjoy KNN, too because the stories they make are the ones most important to them. KNN is child participation at its finest. It is truly by the youth, for the youth. Today In L.A. is a local early-morning local newscast airing over NBC's west coast flagship, KNBC-TV, in Los Angeles. It became the first morning local newscast in Southern California when it debuted on KNBC in 1986, as a half-hour lead-in to The Today Show. Kent Shocknek and Pat DaSilva were the original anchors, with Christopher Nance handling weather duties, and Fred Roggin in a taped segment reporting sports. DaSilva, who is Mexican-American also became the first latina to do a morning weekday newscast. DaSilva sat in the anchor chair for more than a year and was replaced by Carla Aragon. Shocknek and Aragon each departed in later years; Shocknek joining rival station KCBS-TV in 2001 to anchor their early-morning and midday newscasts, and Aragon returning to her native New Mexico to anchor the evening newscasts on NBC affiliate KOB-TV in Albuquerque, from 1994 to her retirement from the news reporting business in 2007. Nance left the station under controversial circumstances in December 2002, after 18 years with the station; he later sued the station, its upper management, and KNBC's parent company due to what he believed was racial and religious discrimination. Eventually successors at the Today in L.A. anchor desk included Kathy Vara, David Cruz, Kelly Mack, Chris Schauble, and Jennifer Bjorklund. Rachel Boesing handled weather reporting duties, while Paul Johnson reported traffic news, while he also filled-in weather stories on occasion. Vara, Mack, Cruz, and Schauble eventually left the station; Vara later returned to KNBC in March 2010 after nine years at crosstown KABC-TV, and Schauble anchoring the first two and a half hours of KTLA's present five and a half-hour morning news block since early 2011. Bjorklund remained at KNBC, presently as a general assignment reporter until 2012.
First Business is a nationally syndicated financial news and analysis television program, produced by First Business Network LLC, a subsidiary of Weigel Broadcasting, in Chicago. Anchor Angela Miles, Reporters Chuck Coppola, Bill Moller, and Executive Producer Harvey Moshman bring viewers commentary from the floors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, as well as from their studios in the West Loop. The program covers the financial and economic markets including equities, futures, options, commodities, foreign exchange and geo-political news.

Business International is a news program which airs on CNN International. It is anchored by Adrian Finighan and Becky Anderson from CNN's London studios. Business International was launched in 2000. As the title implies, it gives more in-depth coverage of international business headlines. During the course of the show, market reports come from the London Stock Exchange. However in recent years, the show has devoted more air time to covering breaking world news. The European evening edition of the show, presented by Anderson also has sports updates and a preview of the following day's newspaper headlines.
ABC Scope is a public affairs program that appeared on the ABC television network from 1964–1968, hosted by Howard K. Smith, the future anchor of the ABC Evening News. News reporters Louis Rukeyser, Frank Reynolds and John Scali also appeared. The program provided its viewer with an in-depth look at the important political, economic and social issues that the world faced in the mid-to-late 1960s. Although Smith hosted the show, the program provided its audience with one-on-one interviews of important newsmakers, documentaries on various subjects and roundtable discussions between a group of experts.
