VideoGaiden is a Scottish computer games television show that was broadcast by BBC Two Scotland. Its creators and presenters, Robert Florence and Ryan Macleod, were responsible for the internet-distributed videogaming show Consolevania, upon which the show is based. The show has now been axed. The show began as six ten minute episodes on BBC Two Scotland, broadcast at around midnight on Fridays starting in December 2005. The episodes were also able to be viewed online from the BBC's web site. A second series, consisting of six half-hour episodes, was commissioned by popular demand and began broadcast on Sunday 5 November 2006 at 11:10pm, with episodes once again available on the BBC's website. A third series consisting of eighteen weekly 11-minute online episodes began in December 2007, with three half-hour TV specials episodes also being produced. A Christmas special aired on 23 December 2007. Gaiden is a Japanese word meaning 'side-story'; its use in the show's title is most likely a reference to Ninja Gaiden, a cult classic videogame known for its unforgiving difficulty level.

D. L. Hughley Breaks the News was a comedy news show that aired on CNN from October 25, 2008 to March 2009, hosted and head written by comedian D. L. Hughley. On March 9, 2009, CNN announced that Hughley would be ending the show due to a desire to work in Los Angeles and be closer to his family. He plans to continue his work with CNN as a Los Angeles-based contributor for the network. On the show's finale, Hughley did a report about legalizing marijuana. He said that he had a back problem and took the show into his doctor's office to get his prescription refilled, but CNN censored some of the interview. D. L. Breakfast Television, also known as BT, is a Canadian morning news and entertainment program produced by CITY-DT. The program airs from 5:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. ET each weekday, except holidays. Since October 3, 2011, it is also simulcast on cable-exclusive CityNews Channel, with a half-hour extension aired exclusively on the channel that runs from 9-9:30 a.m. Four other Citytv owned-and-operated stations use the name and the format, creating content relevant to their own local audiences. A stations produced their own similar morning shows under the name A Morning, although due to budget cuts, many of them have been canceled as of 2009. BT tends to be more relaxed and spontaneous than American morning shows. Unlike American morning shows, it does not have pre-taped segments that are focused on current events or socio-political issues. The guests tend to be more human interest, informational, and promotional in nature and there is less of a focus on celebrities.
Daybreak is a national British breakfast programme, broadcast weekdays on ITV. It is presented live from The London Studios and contains a mixture of news, sport, weather, and entertainment items. The programme was originally presented by Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles until their departure on 5 December 2011. They were replaced by Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb, who presented the show on an interim basis, however since 2012, Daybreak has been presented by Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones, with Ranvir Singh and Matt Barbet hosting the first hour of the programme. Laura Tobin acts as the weather presenter with Richard Arnold presenting the showbiz slot on the show. Helen Fospero, Louisa James and John Stapleton act as stand-in presenters of the main show.
