Mata ng Agila

Series

Mata ng Agila is the flagship evening news broadcast of Net 25 in the Philippines, replacing i-Balita. The show was premiered on January 3, 2011. It is currently anchored by Ely Saludar, Weng dela Fuente and Sam Cepeda. It airs live via satellite through 90-minute newscast, aired at 6:00 PM Philippine time. The primetime newscast is now simulcast on radio thru DZEC 1062 kHz AM Radyo Agila in Mega Manila and all Radyo Agila station nationwide competing with other flagship newscasts of 3 largest networks such as 24 Oras, Aksyon. Ito Ang Balita, News @ 6 and TV Patrol.

California Connected

Series

California Connected was a television newsmagazine that broadcast stories about the state of California to "increase civic engagement." The show was created by Marley Klaus and aired on twelve PBS member stations throughout California. In 2006, former NBC producer Bret Marcus took over as executive producer. The program was cancelled in 2007 due to a lack of funding. The program debuted in 2002 with host David Brancaccio; he anchored the show from the Los Angeles studios of then-PBS station KCET. Lisa McRee replaced Brancaccio in 2004. Rather than anchor from a television studio, McRee hosted the show from a different Californian location each week. A total of 154 episodes were taped. "California Connected" won more than 65 regional and national awards and, in 2007, the program won its first Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism for a story titled, War Stories From Ward 7-D. California Connected was co-produced by the following four PBS stations: KCET in Los Angeles, KQED in San Francisco, KVIE in Sacramento, and KPBS in San Diego. The theme music was written by Christopher Cross and Stephen Bray. Major funding came from: The James Irvine Foundation, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, The California Endowment, and the Annenberg Foundation.

The programme was originally based on the CNBC U.S. morning programme Market Watch, which was later replaced by the programme Morning Call. Just like its US counterpart, European Market Watch presented viewers with the latest market information and in-depth analysis of the stories making business.

Bloomberg West is a television show produced by Bloomberg Television. Andy Lack, chief executive officer of Bloomberg Media Group launched Bloomberg West in 2011. The show focuses on the topics of technology, innovation and business and is hosted by Emily Chang and Cory Johnson. Before coming to Bloomberg Television, Chang hosted the show CNN in Beijing. Co-host Cory Johnson, ran a hedge fund and reported on Silicon Valley for CNBC before joining Bloomberg Television. The show is recorded in Bloomberg’s San Francisco studio and since 2001 has been aired daily at 3pm and 8pm Pacific Time.

Point de mire

Series

Point de mire was a popular Quebec information show on Radio-Canada that aired from 1956 to 1959. The television show is famous for being hosted by a future cabinet minister and Premier of Quebec, René Lévesque. A trademark of the show was the pedagogy of Lévesque, explaining with a chalkboard and clarifying world events to his viewers. This same technique developed at Point de mire he would later use often on television, or in person, to explain political plans and convictions, ranging from the nationalization of electricity during the Quiet Revolution to Quebec independence.

Te Karere is a New Zealand news and current affairs programme broadcast in the Māori language. Te Karere is broadcast on Television New Zealand's TV ONE at 4 pm on weekdays and repeated 1:05 am and 5:35 am the following day. It is available in Windows Media format from 5:00 pm after the broadcast. The show introduced subtitles via teletext on televisions during its 4 pm broadcast, excluding interviews. The focus of the programme is content which is of national significance to the targeted Māori audience.

TV Patrol Tacloban

TV Patrol Tacloban is the local news program of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Tacloban City and in Eastern Visayas. It is aired live daily from the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center in Avenida Veteranos, Tacloban City at 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday. TV Patrol Tacloban has been covering the latest in-depth news from all over Eastern Visayas in Waray-Waray, the major language of the Region. Its area of coverage goes as far as Samar, Leyte's neighbouring island through ABS-CBN TV-7 Catbalogan and TV-10 Calbayog in the Province of Samar. TV Patrol Tacloban has been running for more than 15 years, with its original Anchor Clifford Nolido, who since transferred to the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Iloilo. He has been replaced by his former Sit-in Anchor Ranulfo Docdocan.

Ratsada is a regional news program aired over GMA TV-6 Iloilo in the Philippines. It provides news and features around Iloilo and the rest of Western Visayas. The newscast airs every weekday from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm as pre-programming to the GMA Telebabad block led by 24 Oras. It is currently enjoying the number 1 spot in the most watched local newscast in Western Visayas, topping the 100 most watched programs airing both nationally and locally. It also simulcasts over DYSI-AM. Present anchors are Jonathan Gellangarin, broadcaster extraordinaire, an AM radio anchorman who has crossed over to television, is the program's male hard-hitting investigative journalist, together with Fabienne Padres and Mark Nunieza. "Ratsada" has covered the whole of Western Visayas and has increased its ability to provide comprehensive, effective and reliable news gathering.

BET Nightly News was the main newscast of the Black Entertainment Television network. The newscast covered national and international news stories from a black perspective. The program ran for four years, ending in July 2005. The nightly newscast was replaced by a new format, which included hourly updates and on-line supplements. Past anchors of the newscast included Michelle Miller and Jacque Reid. The executive producer of the program was Will J. Wright.

Scotland Today was a Scottish regional news programme covering Central Scotland, produced by STV Central. Despite its name suggesting a national remit, the programme was actually limited to stories around STV's Central Belt franchise. North Tonight covered STV's North Scotland region, until both programmes were renamed as STV News at Six in March 2009.

Kymmenen uutiset is the main news program of MTV3, broadcast daily at 10:00 p.m. From 1993 to 2008, Kymmenen uutiset was broadcast every evening at 10:00 p.m. except on Mondays, when it was broadcast already at 9:00 p.m. as Yhdeksän uutiset because of a following film. Nowadays, Kymmenen uutiset is broadcast at 10:00 p.m. even on Mondays, and the film is instead broadcast on MTV3's sister channel Sub. MTV3 also broadcasts news every day at 7:00 pm and short news bulletins at 9.00 pm.

10% QTV

Series

10% QTV is a Canadian television newsmagazine series, which aired on Rogers Television stations in Ontario from 1995 to 2001. It was the first multiseason television series in Canada targeted specifically to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, being preceded only by the short-run documentary series Coming Out in 1972. The series first aired in 1995 as Cable 10%, and adopted the 10% QTV name in 1997. The series was produced in Toronto by a volunteer committee. It aired documentary and feature reports on LGBT life and news in Canada and internationally, including an annual episode airing highlights from the Toronto Pride Parade. The series aired on all Rogers community channels in Southern and Eastern Ontario. Following the end of the series, the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives took over the program's website, incorporating it into the CLGA's own website.
