Secret Eaters is a British documentary television series about overeating. It is shown on Channel 4 and presented by Anna Richardson. With their permission, people with eating habit problems are videoed in their home over a week. The subjects do not suspect that private investigators are also following and videoing them elsewhere. At the end of the week, the true amount of what the subjects have eaten is revealed. The subjects are given some days to change their habits, and are brought back, showing considerable weight loss. This drama is intercut with a separate short story where the presenter and food experts test some factor causing overeating.

Streetmate was a dating game show in the UK that first aired on Channel 4 from 30 October 1998 to 9 March 2001 and ran for 3 series. It was hosted by Davina McCall. It returned on 27 September 2007 but it moved to ITV2 as part of the channel's XXL Thursday line-up. It was then hosted by Holly Willoughby for one series. The idea behind the series is that the presenter has first to pick an eligible male or female from passers-by, and then with their help, approach equally eligible members of the opposite or the same sex for a date. The couple then go on the date, reporting back on its success or failure. Baking With Julia is an American television cooking program produced by Julia Child and the name of the book which accompanied the series. Each episode featured one pastry chef or baker who demonstrates professional techniques that can be performed in a home kitchen. It was taped primarily in Child's Cambridge, Massachusetts house and was aired over four television seasons from 1996 to 1999; it is still occasionally aired in reruns on Create on PBS digital stations. The series was created as a spinoff of the Cooking with Master Chefs series due to a significant response to the baking episodes and was a nation co-production of A La Carte Communications and Maryland Public Television. The accompanying book was written by baker and food writer Dorie Greenspan with assistance from Child and food tester David Nussbaum, and includes brief biographical sketches of the chefs involved in the show.
