Kippei`s natural "mother" instinct is really brought to the front while trying to to his best for Yuzuyu, but he is a boy. His ineptitude regarding the smallest things a mother would need to know [like packing a lunch for school] are endearing rather than hokey, and the character of Yuzuyu is cute, without being overly so.

Code-E is a Japanese anime television series animated by Studio DEEN. It is based on an original concept by Ichiro Sakaki and directed by Toshiyuki Katō. A new lead character named Maori Kimizuka will be joining Chinami in the sequel.
This show was spun off from "SCTV Network 90" which was cancelled after two seasons on NBC. The same cast from 1982-83, with the exception of John Candy, appears on this 45-minute sketch comedy series.
