A Verdi Requiem with a dream line-up of soloists and the forces of La Scala, Milan, directed by one of the greatest maestros of our time. Preceding acclaimed performances at the Lucerne and Salzburg Festivals, Barenboim and his magnificent partners recorded this masterpiece around a live performance at La Scala, Milan, in 2012. This marks the first audio recording by Barenboim in his role as La Scala’s Music Director. A superb quartet of soloists – Jonas Kaufmann, Anja Harteros, Elīna Garanča and René Pape – stamp their authority on this terrific performance.
In a gray world, Henry created colors. He managed to trap them inside small glass balls to give to his sick wife, but he couldn't save her. From that day on, he began to produce colored balls non-stop, involving his four sons but refusing to share that incredible magic with the rest of the world and arguing with his youngest son, Stick, about it. Twenty years later, Stick returns home because his father is dying. The only hope seems to lie in a very expensive medical device, but only by freeing the color from the glass balls will Stick and Henry be able to reconcile and fill everyone's lives with beauty.
The DVD was filmed on March 8th, 2008, during Journey's performance at the Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band played for about 90 minutes that night, but for whatever reason, they edited the DVD down to about an hour, discarding about seven of the songs that were performed. It's pretty hard to complain though, since the preformance was amazing.

Handel’s Rinaldo was presented at the 2018 Festival della Valle d’Itria in its rare Neapolitan version of 1718, reconstructed from historical sources by musicologist Giovanni Andrea Sechi. Created in Naples by Leonardo Leo and other composers after the opera’s success in London, this version incorporates additional music, comic characters and intermezzi, and was performed in modern times for the first time. Fabio Luisi conducted the baroque ensemble La Scintilla, with Teresa Iervolino as Rinaldo and Carmela Remigio as Armida. Giorgio Sangati’s colourful, rock-inspired production transformed the protagonists into pop-culture figures, including Rinaldo as Freddie Mercury and Armida as Cher.
