Legendary rock impresario Bill Graham closed the Fillmore West in early summer 1971 with five nights of all-star concerts, the last curtain going down on July 4. The storied San Francisco venue had become an institution, an integral part of the West Coast music scene of the '60s and, now, an essential element of the mythology of rock 'n' roll. Always the showman, Graham made sure the Fillmore West was sent off in a blaze of glory, spotlighting bands - including the Grateful Dead and Santana-that rose to fame at the hall. The madness leading up to the shows and the concerts themselves were filmed for FILLMORE: THE LAST DAYS, a gritty, behind-the-scenes look at a fascinating moment in rock history and a showcase for great performances by iconic artists who epitomized 'the San Francisco Sound.' Originally released in 1972 and long out-of-print, the documentary film makes its DVD debut with Rhino's landmark reissue.

Theater Kid is a musical drama which focuses on the relationship between Kenneth and Jane, the two leads of their high school's upcoming winter musical.
A film of the hugely successful British musical comedy revue, 'Mr Tower of London'. Written by Archie Pitt in 1918 who played the role of Mr Tower on stage and in this film. The actress in the part of Sally Perkins is unknown but is speculated to be Betty Driver, as the 3rd actress to take this role (the 2nd was Barbara Bartle). The original actress was Gracie Fields, who was married to Archie Pitt, and had left the production by 1924. The stage production had three scenes in Act 1 and two in Act 2. It is confirmed that at least one scene, 'Mr Tower Drives The Omnibus' (Act 1 Scene 3) is in this film. The stage version ran to over 4000 performances until the mid 1930s, so this film captures one of the most successful British shows of the 1920s period. It is an early sound film using Phonofilm, an optical sound film technology invented by Lee de Forest. It is likely made at that company's Clapham Studios facility, based in a railway arch. A 35mm print is held by the BFI.

To open the 2023–24 opera season, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma presents a new production of *Mefistofele*. This opera, in a prologue, four acts, and an epilogue by Arrigo Boito, is inspired by Goethe’s *Faust*. The production is directed by Simon Stone, with Michele Mariotti conducting.
